CORNER OF DECEPTION
for The Berkeley Ensembles

Written for the Berkeley Ensemble ‘Corner of Deception’ is a piece inspired by Banky’s ‘Season Greetings’ artwork in Port Talbot.

​The programmatic work opens by portraying the sound of the child playing in the snow which leads into a period of realisation where the snow is revealed as ash and ends with the sounds of a dangerously vicious fire.

The Berkeley Ensemble workshopped and premiered the piece as part of their Mare's Tale Concert at Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama's Dora Stoutzker Hall on 28th February 2020.
